This post is to give you an example of just how long a list of a K/S Area’s sub-areas can get. This is for the Appraisal K/S Area, and be aware that the typical mundane, or even preternatural Persona won’t be able to learn all of them to any real competency. Here now is Appraisal and a partial list of the sub-areas.

- Gold/Precious Metals
- Jewelry & Gemstones
- Rugs & Tapestries
- Woodwork & Furniture
And note that the list above is missing items such as leathers, feathers, and ivory. Then note that each of the sub-areas above can have sub-areas of its own. Such as under furs.…

As you can see, there is really no way even a mortal of preternatural ability can learn how to accurately appraise everything there is to appraise. And yes, it is possible for an adventure to call upon such a skill during the course of play.
BTW, I added caecelian leather under leather Appraisal because I think they’re cool. :)
