Now Just 34 more to go. :)
And then there are about 20 more to add. (No, I’m not going to limit your choices just because choices make you nervous.)
Seems I have a few, and I’ve been ignoring them.
By not posting more often. Which means I have to.Which means doing up my entries on Vocations in the Wiki, and posting more on RPGs. Tomorrow I’ll start posting wikis on the Vocations in Mythus. See you then.
Don’t forget that you’re dealing with people; people both around the table, and the people they play in the session. People who have lives. A narrative is an account of a life; life is life. Story is about what happened. Life is about what is happening.
This whole narrative thing is people trying to be important, because they are convinced they have to be important. The people they know say they have to be important, and that what they do has to be important. Some of us just cannot accept any possibility that what they are doing means nothing. Or that it doesn’t have to mean anything.
So somebody proposes an hypothesis and others adopt that hypothesis because it makes them feel good. It makes them think that now they have a special importance. It’s like a dog tearing up the couch because his alone and afraid. Yet even after the couch has been demolished the dog is still alone, and afraid.
Why care? Why care that others think you are useless and a fool for engaging in an activity they don’t like. Call them what they are, cowards. Let them fuss and fret while you go on having adventures and living an imaginary life in an environment where others can join you and participate. You are an individual and you have the right to do your own thing as long as it harms not another.
As for immersion, don’t make yourself become immersed, _let_ yourself become immersed. It’ll happen anyway, don’t fight it but take part it in. It’s your life, never let anyone tell you you can’t live it just because it causes them distress.
