(This is a first draft, and incomplete at that)
Mythus is about adventure. Mythus is about long voyages, strange events, and exotic lands. Mythus is a world of intrigue, exploration, dark mysteries, and strange discoveries.
Great serpents swim the seas off the shores of Lyonesse, towering ents tread the forests of northern Norge, and the children of the emperor or Annam play with a mouse of living jade. In the mountains of western Vargaard sasquatch impart wisdom to young skraeling, while Lemurian raiders take slaves and food from the shores of the island of Califia.
This is a world of travel and exploration, a world of dire deeds and creatures dreaded by mortal souls. It is a place of wizards, where sorcerers conspire and connive, and witches wreak havoc and weigh their people down with despair. A place where wise women cast fortunes, and ease pain through their herbalism.
Mythus is not for the limited, the small minded, or those who must insist on things being just so. Elves can be hostile, drow trustworthy, even the goblins organized. Dragons can approach you for help with a troublesome princess, trolls hire you to guard their caravan as it heads east down the Silk Road to Ch’in.
Mythus does not have to be run of the mill.
Pack your bags, cast your dweomers, it’s time to adventure.
