Don’t know about you, but that is a massive animal. He looms. I mean really looms. Thick chest, thick body, massive legs. The image is blurry and a clearer shot would be a lot better, but it’s damn obvious we’re not talking about a bear of any sort. You insist he’s a bear you’re a liar.
The first problem is we get just the one angle. Two angles would be a lot better, and at leat three would be marvelous.
The other problem is, he’s too damn human. At least in general appearance. You can say that he falls into an uncanny valley where he looks too much like us for us to be comfortable with him. We are so convinced that only we can have a look like that, proportions like that, be a bipedal terrestrial great ape like, that we refuse to accept there is at least one other genus of bipedal terrestrial great ape out there. To put it simply, we’re spoiled.
As for him being a man in a costume, it’s just too damn good. We don’t have the matrial to make it, we don’t have the skill to fit it. The animal’s movement is just too damn smooth with none of the bunching you’d expect in a costume. The skin is just too tight. What I see is a nude sasquatch walking around without a stitch on. It’s just too damn natural.
But if you’ve got to fret and bitch, you’re going to fret and bitch. They’re hear, they’re hairy, deal with it.
And keep this in mind, he’s ignoring the camera. He’s paying no attention to it at all, as far as I can see.
BTW, if you happen to now where I can find a more complete video of the subject. At last one with shots of the animal at another angle, drop the link in the comments below. But make sure it’s of the same subject.
