My understanding is that Senator Bernie Sanders will be dropping out of the Presidential race. Because he's had a heart attack. Heart attacks are serious. Given that he had a blocked artery it's likely another will show up, and this one could kill him. I expect his doctor is going to tell him...
Doctor: Mr. Sanders, you can't be President of the United States.
Sanders: Why not?
Doctor: Because it would kill you.
Sanders: So being President would kill me. Fine, as long as I can have some impact on my country.
Doctor: No, Bernie, running for President would kill you.
Of course, I could be wrong. He could run and win election and then retire after two terms to become an elder statesman for the next twenty years, but heart trouble is not something you underestimate. Within a week Senator Bernard Sanders will announce he is withdrawing as a candidate for President of the United States because of his heart. Who he then announces he's supporting will of course get a huge boost in support, but I have no idea who that might be. So who will then succeed President Nancy Pelosi in office will stay up in the air.
