I'm having trouble on the web what with sites not loading, most especially FaceBook, though it happens with other locations. I have the feeling it's because people have to fuck with the software. Either deliberately, or because they just don't care. In addition, it's because certain parties just don't want to invest in the resources the Internet needs to function adequately. So may I propose this law: You may not interfere with communications. That's it. No conditions, no exceptions. Simply, you may not interfere with communications.

Because we need reliable communications. For our safety. For our health. So we can keep in touch with others, inform them, and let them get in touch with us. The greedy and the fools are endangering our lives and that we just can't tolerate. Not on your tin type.

To reiterate: You may not interfere with communications. Now let's get off our butts and start doing something about it. Enact laws, bring suit against those who either mess with the system, or who won't let the system handle what it needs to. Enact and assess fines, restrict or ban access to equipment a party will use to interfere with communications. And open up access to competitors so monopolies can't interfere with what is necessary.
