To be honest with you here, it’s about bullying. Sexual harrasment and rape is a part of it, but that is all a part of bullying.
What is bullying?
It’s treating other people as if they were worthless. It’s treating what they are and what they do has having no real value beyond how you can use it to belittle them and amuse yourself. The worst thing about bullying is that the victim is made to feel worthless and undeserving of any consideration, and most often because the bully is a raging bigot.
Well I say fuck that. You get right down to it you have no damn reason to bully, no real reason at all. You don’t want to listen, you don’t want to consider the other has a person in his own right, then get lost. There is no real purpose in bullying other than to lord it over another or to bolster your own fragile ego. That’s my opinion and you can suffer.
You’re not alone on this planet and it’s time you woke up.
One last thing; has it ever occurred to you that you are being a failure when it comes to reproduction? That by bullying you are convincing other people that you would be a lousy mating partner and thus to be avoided. And that should you ever produce a child you are going to raise that child in a hostile environment where his survival and success is most likely going to be a dismal failure? Do you want to raise your kid in the sort of environment you hate so much? Then why do you insist that others have to live there too.
At the National Scientist site there is an article on a pair of what appear to be primate teeth. What some have called human teeth. There’s a problem with that.
For one thing, who says they have to be human, or human-like? What makes them human, and are teeth like this unique to us? Or is it a matter of convergent evolution, of coincidence? If we had fossils of every tooth that once existented how many would look “human” even if the original owner wasn’t even primate or even mammalian.
One tooth has even been identified as a canine, while the other is identified as a molar. Now I look at the picture apparently of the two teeth and as far a I can tell they aint either. They both look to me as if they were both damaged, and they look remarkably alike. Now I’ve seen human canines and they have a single deep root. In both cases the two teeth apparently have a single truncated root. Far as I know only canines have a single root, and that is long.
Now take a good hard look at the two teeth in the picture in the article. Don’t know about you, but to me they look like the same kind of teeth. If it weren’t for some rather small difference in detail they could be copies of the same tooth. Depending on how the tooth was copied the differences could be due to copying errors.
What I’m hearing is people insisting it has to be because it fits a preconceived notion. Much like the claim that Weberpithecus naledi has to be a type of human because the discoverer, a Doctor Weber, needed to find a human. To me this is a case of people jumping to a conclusion because they got excited and irrational. We’re human, we do stuff like that.
My conclusion is; they’re not human, they might be canines or incisors, but neither is a molar or premolar. They may not even be primate. And I have a suspicion that both were damaged during the long years buried and are not complete speciemens. Of course, this assessment is just from a single picture and a proper exam could well tell us a lot more.
The one thing we can learn from this i the wisdom of the old adage, dont jump to conclusions. Check things out and check them out seriously. Most importantly, don’t guess. Make sure you know and if that means taking time then you take the damn time. Things don’t need to be what you need them to be.

The most important consequence is this, this means changes.. Changes our insecurity won’t let us face.
If we’re to deal with the changes this development will bring us we need to learn how to be more confident, more secure. But as long as there are people so insecure they need us to be insecure that’s not going to happen. We need agility training for people much as we do for dogs. Which is really more confidence training for dogs, because it give them the confidence they need to handle what they find themselves in.
We need confidence training for people so make them able to handle the unexpected, so that they know that they can handle the unxpected. And if it means that the controlling lose their control over others, then maybe they will learn that they don’t need that control..

Above Mentzer’s first post you can see a date, 6/11/2015. Over 2 years ago. Why the tizzies?
On FaceBook James M. Ward told me that once two years ago Frank Mentzer told a young lady she was pretty. She got pissed. Two years ago. Why now?
The beginning of this week saw the hashtag #metoo trend to increase awareness about how many women have been harassed in their lives. On my Facebook feed alone, I’d estimate that around 85% of the women I know posted something. The actual number of women who have been harassed is higher than that, based on the stories I know about and was told about in private chats, but not everyone felt comfortable talking about their experiences on Facebook or Twitter and a person’s experiences are theirs alone to share. Talking about that sort of thing can be hard, and it’s uncomfortable all around. Talk

In the post linked to above I had a look at the exchange between Mentzer and Price and I have to note, that doesn’t sound like Mentzer. He aint that stupid, or that young Whoever sent it has no idea who Frank Mentzer is. The whole affair just stinks.

This is what Frank Mentzer had to say on the subject of broken stairs To sum* it up, he hates them. And he none too fond of people who refuse to deal with them.
I remember when a young teenaged boy and his friend were charged with kiling the first boy’s younger sister. The detective on the case said they did it under the influence of D&D.
California’s attorney general got involved, the boys were cleared of the charge, and the girl’s actual killer was Identified, tried, and convicted. Thank to false accusatons pair of young mean very nearly got imprison and their lives ruined thanks to a coward who just wouldn’t admit he could be wrong.
Ms. Price gives me no confidece in her honesty or that she can be trusted. In fact she leaves me with the impression that she wants other women to be abused and left with no recourse but to cower in fear while their abusers parade around around like peacock popinjays.

Latest news about the hepatitis A crisis in San Diego.

On the page linked to above are a number of links to stories on the HepA calamity. The impression I get is, our PTBs royally fucked up. People in the halls of power showed a base and vile hatred of people who just happened to be in dire straits, and very often such straits because certain parties just had to restrict life in this city to the priveleged few.
In case you haven’t heard, San Diego CA aint a gated community and can never be a gated community. The US Supreme Court wouldn’t tolerate such a thing.
I’m expecting a class action suit against certain parties, with the class being the citizens of San Diego as a whole. And part of the settlement will mean an expansion of rail lines north and the establishment of a new one east. Our civic puritans are going to hate it.
It comes down to this; life will never be pristine and you will never be able to restrict where people live, especially not in a prime location.
One last thing. When next you wonder just where our HepA epidemic came from, thank the city fathers of San Diego.

We decided we didn’t need to provide public lavoratories, which left people with no place to poop and piss. Even those with a home and a toilet since emergencies are going to pop up at the most inopportune time.
It comes down to prejudice, the belief that those who aren’t like us deserve to be treated like trash. We refuse to accept the fact that people come in all conditions and that maltreatment of the other costs us in ways we really can’t afford. Seems to me that our slogan has become, “Millions for hospitalization, not one penny for shit cans.”
By now you’ve likely heard of a guaranteed monthly income—GMI—where taxes paid by companies using automation go to pay the population. According to the stories I’ve heard the recommended amount is $1,000 a month. Hate to tell you this, that’s not enough.
One thousand dollars a month don’t even get you close to the poverty rate in this country. Hell, two thousand a month still won’t get you close, but it would get you a lot closer. In addition, an additional $2,000 dollars a month would mean not having to rely on government assistance for food, shelter, and medicine as much as we do now.
That would mean less bureaucracy and fewer bureaucrats because there would be less paperwork.
And keep in mind that what bureaucrats do currently could be handled by machines. Keeping track of records is something that could be easily automated, and that means tens of thousands of clerks going out of a job. The cost of paperwork would collapse, meaning the cost of government could fall—though that is not necessarily guaranteed.
In addition, make sure the COLA increases every year, otherwise we’ll end up with the old problems again.
And an apology to you all, I know there’s more to be said about this, but right now I’m not getting my thoughts organized. So as the line from West Side Story put it, smoke on your pipe and put that in.

Defining art is a lot like defining science, most of the time it is a matter of describing an example of a thing as the thing. Still, as with science there are elements in art that help us identify it as art.
In the long run it comes down to a matter of feelings. As with science art is about evoking feelings, and evoking them in such a way as to arose feelings of awe. Your first exposure to a work of art is one that makes you say, “wooh.”
Art is impressive. Art gets your attention. More importantly, art remains impressive even after you’ve seen it for awhile. Too much exposure to a piece of art can lead to burn out, but when you understand how it is impressive it remains art.
Ask a painter about the Mona Lisa, a musician about the Stairway to Heaven; either will try to tell you about what makes them art, but as long as you don’t have the background necesssary you’re not going to understand them.
Could video games be art? In my opinion when the people who create them understand what makes art art, then they will be art. Until then they will be just an amusement. We first need to ask ourselves, what is it about art that impresses us? How are the elements of the piece handled, how are they brought together to get the result we see as art. What did Mozart do to produce his art? When at the core its just a matter of the technology of music writing.
Art really is not about the technology of producing the piece, but rather a matter of how it is put together in such a way as to evoke an enduring response. Most importantly it is an understanding of how we work, or how and why we find something impressive and what stays impressive even after it’s been around for awhile. Cartoons have been acknowledged as art because of how they appeal to their audience, or how they were done in such a wise that they appealed to the audience. Chuck Jones and friend timed Wiley Coyote’s falls to elicit the best response from their audience. A technical answer to eliciting an emotional response. That is how we handle the creation of art, using the tools we have to get the responses we are looking for.
Can anything become art? Of course, but only as long as we understand what art is and how we create it.
