The basic idea is a good one, teach plugin and theme authors how to support their product. But what we really need are lessons on how they explain their product, and why that is a good idea. For not everything is intuitive to everybody. Not everybody knows what you know, as I learned running sessions of D&D back in the day. We can’t read your mind, and not everything is perfectly obvious.
Yes, we can be dump. Yes, there are times we need to hear from you just how your toy works and how we use it. And you need to learn how to teach us effectively.
What the support team is doing is a good first step, but it is a rare journey that takes just the one step. This can be only a beginning, there is more to be done.
I have run into problems with the Weaver Xtreme customizer. Seems when I tell it to save and publish, it doesn’t. So the site doesn’t look right right now. I’ll be working on the theme using the admin page, but that won’t get done for awhile. All I can do is to ask for your patience.
I open up this site only to learn that I have subscribers. To all of you, welcome. I’m—all so—slowy customizing the look of this place. Seeing as I’m working with Weaver Xtreme it means I have a lot to do. But when I’ve finished this place should look a lot nicer.
However, having a lot to keep track of, and keeping in mind my absent mindedness, I do need to remember to keep taking notes on what I have done. I need to write a note on that.
You are welcome to comment on what you read here, and if I get a big enough response I will add a forum for you to use. I do write about a lot of things, but for the most part the topics will be role playing guides, the Dangerous Journeys system and the Mythus guide itself, and science—Mom was a scientist and she influenced me in that department.
Of course, since RPGs cover a lot of territory Mythusmage Today will cover a lot of territory as well. But that will do for now, because my meds are starting to kick in, and they tend to knock me out. I’ll be back with more to say.
The section on Quirks for the Persona chapter that is. Just need to go through and revise the sub-section on Spiritual Quirks; merge the Mental, Physical and Spiritual sub-sections together; add a bit of explication; save it as a docx; translate it into a Document, then add some formatting and it should be ready.
Please note that the Spiritual Quirks all told come out to be greater in number than the Mental and Physical Quirks combined. Note also that I expect you’re going to disagree regarding how I classify some Quirks. Entirely your right, for we’re not always going to agree on things. I classify some Quirks as Mental because that’s how I see them, you will understand them differently
In the future I will be doing the section on Birth Rank and Age. Then—I do hope—we’ll be dealing with statistics, because by then we’ll have all the modifications thereto already set for us. Of course, I may have to change my mind.
Then comes Vocations with universal and bonus K/S, then resources and background.
Personas in Mythus are not just playing pieces in a game, they’re meant to be actual persons, even though they are imaginary. People are complicated, so are Personas. So you can expect your Personas’ lives to get messy at times.
That’s just a bit of my role playing guide philosophy.
