I’m planning on posting a few pages under the general heading of Dangerous Journeys. I’ve come to the conclusion that using a wiki or document plugin won’t do the job, and this way will make things easier for me. At the present the first pages will be
Dj will have the basic mechanics common to all the guides under it, while each guide will feature refinements and variations. It should get involved.
I’m setting up a project, that being to get the first issue of The View From Serendip out. At present I doubt it’s going to be a regular publication. I will be charging $5 an issue, $30 for a 10 issue subscription. Issues will include an editorial, 3 articles, and art to go with them. At the present the first issue should be ready by the 21, and the first release will be one March 1st.
Planned articles will include an essay on the island of Sri Lanka, an adaptation of the casting creation mechanics for Mythus to D&D3e, and maybe one of how social class plays a role in human society. At present the editorial may be on how calling them games is really a big fat lie, and how they’re better described as guides to life in an imaginary world.
You’re welcome to comment on each issue, but I must ask that you be calm, courteous, and listen. Further, to remember that this all is preliminary and subject to change. With any luck you should see Serendip by March 1st.
