I woke up from a sound sleep in part because I need to pee. But while I'm lying there it occurs to me I need to revise a work I'm working on. After some thought, and with the lizard drained, I've decided to present this "correction" to my previous post (which my LiveJournal fans can consult). In this correction I put the roll for race first. So...
Humans: General and Specific Races
Example: For our example Persona I've decided to select a race (general and specific) instead of rolling for them. And since I'm feeling a little romantic right now, I've decided he's going to be a Nebraska Indian, or Skraeling as they are known on Ærth. Of course if you feel like rolling, here's a widget...
Set it to a d100 and roll twice; once for general race and the second time for the specific.
Being of the Nebraska Nation he lives in the Eastern Plains, about the area of our Nebraska. More particularly he's of the Iowa tribe, with his home in our Southern South Dakota. Because I don't know any Ioway I can't give him a proper Ioway name, so I'll call him Robert, which apparently means "bright fame". So his Ioway name will mean "bright fame". After a look at a map of southern South Dakota I've decided Robert's home is south of the Missouri in our Gregory County.
Of course along with race I've decided to make him male because I felt like it. Next up will be determining social class, or SEC (Socioeconomic Class)
